SMTC’s group exercise classes are open to individuals looking for a challenging workout in a social atmosphere! We offer a variety of fitness class styles for all ages, and our classes can easily be modified for varying skill levels or injuries. Most of our classes are available at our Crestwood clinic, but several hybrid options are available.

New Class Alert: QUICK MINUTES TO FITNESS

Quick Minutes of Fitness is a group circuit training class designed to deliver a great workout with full body movements in LESS time. Experts say at least 30 minutes of resistance training 2 to 3 times per week improves strength, balance and overall health. This class is primarily focused around our Nautilus equipment, providing clients with a skillset in areas of strength, aerobic and anaerobic training, and a high level of overall fitness while reducing risk of overuse or injury. We use an integrated approach utilizing weight machines in combination with balance and stability training with using light free-weights and bodyweight. We offer a variety of modifications for each exercise making this class perfect for beginners or open level clients. Classes are Tuesday and Thursdays at 12pm.

FUSION FITNESS

Fusion Fitness is a group circuit training class designed to deliver a great workout with full body movements. Our trainers focus on working from the ground up eliciting the best hormone response possible. The cross-training technique utilized provides clients with a skillset in areas of strength, aerobic and anaerobic training, and increases the ability to maintain a high level of overall fitness while reducing risk of overuse or injury.

CONDITIONING FOR DANCERS

Conditioning for Dancers is designed to meet the special needs of the committed dance athlete. This circuit training class helps you build strength and endurance without sacrificing flexibility and range of motion. You will see improvements in posture, power, and quickness and be less susceptible to injury. Appropriate for intermediate level and up or ages 15 and up.

STEADY STRONG

Steady Strong focuses on overall body strength and stability while ensuring proper body mechanics. Balance and stability training is incorporated in this whole body workout, using both light free-weights and body weight. We offer a variety of modifications for each exercise making this class perfect for beginners or open level clients. Whether you are looking for the next step after physical therapy or just practicing better body mechanics, this class is the perfect fit.

WEIGHTLIFTING @ SMTC

Learn to LOVE to lift correctly in this class designed by staff with medical backgrounds! This one-hour class will help you build a base and foundation for weightlifting movements, and correct and improve technique. At your first class you will set goals and track your progress on your personalized goals sheet! Most clients report meeting their initial goals within 4-6 weeks of consistent training. This class concludes with a quick stretch session to relieve tension and enhance flexibility. All fitness levels welcome.

Strictly Stretching

Feeling stiff and tight? Start your week off with the dance medicine staff for this one hour stretch class specifically designed for runners, cyclists and endurance athletes. Improve your flexibility, reduce incidence of injury, and ultimately increase your performance through a whole body approach to stretching, breathing, and healthy flow. Strictly Stretching will educate you on how to stretch properly and increasing range of motion in a safe way can have huge benefits on your overall training.

GYROKINESIS®

The GYROKINESIS® Method is a movement method that addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. It is an original and unique method, which coordinates movement, breath and mental focus.
